Our tour begins with a flight from Sydney to the Gold Coast before travelling into the lush hinterland of Lamington National Park. Along the way, we enjoy lunch and a wine tasting at a picturesque vineyard, surrounded by rolling countryside. This afternoon we arrive at the renowned O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat, where we are welcomed with a glass of bubbles before settling into our beautiful rainforest surroundings. An informative audiovisual presentation introduces us to the region before we gather together for our first dinner.

Today is dedicated to experiencing the many unique attractions of O’Reilly’s Rainforest Retreat. Early risers may enjoy a self-guided bird walk before breakfast, followed by a fascinating 4WD Billy Tea and History Tour through the surrounding World Heritage-listed rainforest. After lunch, we watch the impressive Birds of Prey presentation before enjoying free time to feed the colourful wild birds, browse the gift shop or simply relax. This afternoon, we enjoy afternoon tea before taking a stroll along the famous Tree Top Walk.

Following breakfast, there is another opportunity to join the early morning bird walk before enjoying a memorable wildlife encounter at the retreat. We then farewell O’Reilly’s and travel to charming Tamborine Mountain, where there is free time to enjoy lunch and browse the delightful village. This afternoon, we visit the magical Glow Worm Caves before taking a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Tamborine Mountain Botanic Gardens. Later, we continue to the Gold Coast and settle into our beachfront accommodation. This evening is yours to enjoy at leisure, with a wide variety of dining options available within Twin Towns and the adjoining Services Club.

After breakfast, we journey into the picturesque Tweed Valley to discover some of the region’s finest attractions. Our day begins with an immersive tour of Tropical Fruit World, where we learn about an incredible variety of exotic fruits before enjoying lunch. This afternoon, we visit the outstanding Tweed Regional Gallery and Margaret Olley Art Centre before continuing to a local distillery for a guided tour and tasting, where we discover the art of crafting premium Australian spirits. We return to our hotel late this afternoon, with the evening free to enjoy dinner at your leisure.

This morning we enjoy a relaxed start before boarding a scenic Tweed Eco Cruise. As we cruise the tranquil waterways, we enjoy a delicious lunch while taking in the beautiful river scenery and learning about the area’s fascinating natural environment.

Returning to shore early this afternoon, there is time to relax at the resort or enjoy some shopping nearby. Tonight, we experience the Australian Outback Spectacular, an unforgettable dinner and show featuring breathtaking horsemanship, Australian animals, spectacular special effects and a heartwarming story celebrating the resilience and character of the Australian outback.

After breakfast, we make our way to Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary. With time to explore at our own pace, we can meet many of Australia’s unique native animals while wandering through the beautifully landscaped grounds.

Following lunch, we transfer to Gold Coast Airport for our flight home to Sydney, bringing to a close a wonderful escape combining ancient rainforests, spectacular scenery, unique wildlife and some of south-east Queensland’s finest attractions.
