We depart Sydney and journey into the Hunter Valley, a region renowned for its world-class wines and gourmet produce. Along the way, we’ll stop for a break at Mangrove Creek dam before arriving for a delightful lunch. The afternoon is spent indulging in chocolate tasting, a visit to a cheese factory, and a wine tasting at one of the region’s celebrated wineries. We settle in at the Mercure Resort Hunter Valley and enjoy our welcome dinner on site.

Today, we travel inland via the rolling hills and historic townships of the Upper Hunter and New England regions. After a break in Murrurundi and lunch in Tamworth, we continue the scenic route through Oxley Wild Rivers National Park. Visit two spectacular natural landmarks—Wollomombi Falls and Ebor Falls—before arriving at our mountain retreat in Dorrigo. We’ll enjoy a peaceful evening with dinner at the lodge.

Spend the morning browsing the boutique shops and artisan stalls in the heart of Bellingen. After lunch, we’ll enjoy a tasting at the local Bellingen Brewery, followed by a relaxed afternoon back at the retreat with light entertainment, games, and regional wine and cheese.

Explore the World Heritage-listed Dorrigo National Park with a walk through the rainforest and across the elevated Skywalk with breathtaking views. Then,we’ll enjoy a behind-the-scenes tour of Levenvale Farm, a sustainable working property. Nestled in the rolling green hills just outside Bellingen, Levenvale Farm is a picturesque, family-run property dedicated to sustainable and ethical farming practices. This working farm is known for its free-range pork, pasture-raised eggs, and regenerative land management techniques.

During our visit, we’ll enjoy a guided tour of the farm, gaining insights into how the animals are raised in harmony with the land and how traditional farming values are blended with modern, eco-conscious methods.

Enjoy a relaxed start before exploring Coffs Harbour with a local town tour, before visiting the tranquil Botanic Gardens for morning tea. We then enjoy a guided tour of Solitary Islands Aquarium. The aquarium offers an intimate and educational glimpse into the unique marine ecosystems of the Coffs Coast. Situated at Southern Cross University’s National Marine Science Centre, the aquarium emphasizes regional species, conservation, and marine science education.

After lunch we spend time at the Coffs Harbour waterfront, with free time to explore the foreshore, relax by the marina, or enjoy the coastal setting. For those who wish, there is the option to take a walk out to Muttonbird Island for coastal views.

Today we depart Coffs Harbour and travel south to the Urunga Boardwalk for a scenic stroll across mangroves and estuaries, followed by morning tea. We then visit the nearby Honey Place to learn about local beekeeping before continuing to Cassegrain Wines for a delicious lunch and wine tasting experience. We arrive in Port Macquarie mid-afternoon and settle into our accommodation conveniently located by the water. Enjoy a leisurely stroll by the river or relax in your room prior to dinner.

This morning, we begin our journey south, travelling through the picturesque countryside with a brief stop in the friendly town of Bulahdelah for a quick morning tea break and a chance to stretch our legs.

We then continue to the stunning Lake Macquarie region, home to Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake. Here, we’ll step aboard a spacious, comfortable vessel for a relaxing BBQ lunch cruise on the tranquil waters. As we glide past bays, bushland, and waterfront homes, you’ll be treated to sweeping views and informative commentary about the region’s natural beauty and maritime history. After disembarking, we make our way back to Sydney, arriving late afternoon.
