Step aboard the magnificent Zig Zag Railway for a nostalgic journey back to the golden age of steam, surrounded by the breathtaking beauty of the Blue Mountains. Our day begins with morning tea at historic Clarence Station before climbing aboard a beautifully restored heritage steam train for a memorable 45-minute return journey to Top Points. Experience the sights, sounds and charm of a bygone era as the locomotive winds through spectacular mountain scenery, navigating the railway’s famous zigzag reversing manoeuvre. Discover the fascinating history of this remarkable Victorian engineering achievement and the incredible efforts to restore it following devastating bushfires and floods.
Following our railway adventure, we’ll travel to the charming mountain village of Leura, renowned for its beautiful gardens, boutique shops and welcoming village atmosphere. Here, we’ll enjoy a delicious main course lunch followed by ice cream for dessert at the historic Alexandra Hotel, before having some leisure time to explore Leura’s delightful shops and picturesque streets.
