Autumn in the Blue Mountains – Rhododendron Gardens & Leura

Discover the beauty of the Blue Mountains in autumn, when crisp mountain air, charming villages and spectacular seasonal colours create the perfect setting for a delightful day out! Join us as we explore beautiful gardens, enjoy breathtaking scenery and experience the wonderful charm of the mountains.

Our day begins with a relaxing morning tea at picturesque Wentworth Falls, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Blue Mountains. We’ll then make our way to Blackheath to discover the magnificent Campbell Rhododendron Gardens, a hidden gem nestled amongst 18 hectares of beautiful cool-climate gardens and native bushland.

Enjoy a fascinating talk and guided tour as we discover the history of these remarkable gardens and admire the changing seasonal colours. Wander amongst towering trees, peaceful garden paths and beautiful plant collections, soaking up the tranquillity of this enchanting mountain setting.

Following our garden visit, we’ll travel to the charming village of Leura, often described as the jewel of the Blue Mountains. Here, we’ll enjoy a delicious two-course lunch at the historic Alexandra Hotel, a beautiful mountain venue full of old-world charm.

After lunch, enjoy some leisurely free time to explore Leura’s delightful tree-lined streets, browse its wonderful collection of boutique shops, discover quaint cafés and specialty stores, or simply soak up the relaxed village atmosphere.

Combining beautiful mountain scenery, enchanting gardens, delicious dining and the charm of Leura, this is a wonderful autumn escape celebrating the very best of the Blue Mountains!
