Tour description
Tour dates: 5th April – 11th April, 2026
Lord Howe Island is a place of rare, untouched beauty — a peaceful Pacific paradise less than two hours from Sydney. Celebrated as one of only four island groups in the world recognised by UNESCO for exceptional natural significance, it offers towering mountain peaks, lush subtropical forests and a crystal-clear lagoon protected by the world’s southernmost coral reef. Whether you prefer gentle strolls beneath giant banyan trees and Kentia palms, or more adventurous walks with magnificent views, the island rewards travellers with quiet moments, abundant birdlife and scenery that feels worlds away from everyday life.
Surrounded by calm turquoise waters, Lord Howe’s lagoon is a haven for snorkellers, with colourful fish, friendly turtles and vibrant coral gardens just metres from shore. Throughout the week you’ll enjoy inspiring guided walks, coral viewing cruises, nature tours and time to explore the island at your own pace. With comfortable accommodation, delicious meals and all the care you expect from OCT, this is a wonderfully relaxed holiday where the biggest decision of the day might simply be whether to swim, wander or unwind in the sunshine.

Testimonials
Re: Batemans Bay Hi Debbie, We have just returned from a 4-day trip to Bateman’s Bay with with Jimmy as our driver. I wanted to email to tell you how good he was. He was so friendly and pleasant, nothing was too much trouble, and his help / support of our older Ex-Servicemen and their wives was outstanding. He was also very interested in out stories which was lovely. I know we always get that level of service from OnCourse, and wanted you to know that it continued with Jimmy. He was so articulate on the microphone and always had some interesting bits of information about where we were or where we were near. The weather on our trip could have been better, but he did his best, moved things around, found places for us to stop in the rain, and always with a smile on his face and made the trip so enjoyable. His handling of the coach was also something we all commented on. Once again, another lovely trip away, and I wouldn’t hesitate to go on any trip Jimmy was involved in.

Dear Kerry and staff Thank you for organising the Temora airshow and Wagga tour for our club. We all enjoyed the four days away. The tour length was just right for us ‘oldies’. The Mercure Wagga was very comfortable and centrally located, and there was plenty of free time to explore the galleries, gardens Riverina Museum, and shops on offer in Wagga. The Tamora airshow was an opportunity to view old planes and to see an aviation display for novices to aviation displays. We learnt so much about the RAAF presence in Wagga and Temora during WWII. A highlight of the Junee Rail Museum was the dedicated locals who told us all about trains and privatisation of New South Wales rails. A special bouquet of thanks to Paul , our wonderful coach driver and Marie, our friendly tour guide. Nothing was a problem for them. Both Marie and Paul worked as a great team and put us all at ease. We greatly appreciated all their work, effort, fun and friendship to make our trip memorable. Thanks Guys! It was great to be travelling with Oncourse again. Our club is looking forward to seeing what tourism plans you have in store for 2024. Again, many thanks for your help. Best wishes to all the On Course team.
