Tour description

Experience some of South Australia’s most unforgettable landscapes on this thoughtfully curated journey through Kangaroo Island, the Murray River and the Barossa Valley. Kangaroo Island welcomes visitors with rugged coastlines, peaceful forests and sweeping farmland, and is home to thriving populations of kangaroos, wallabies, koalas and fur seals. After crossing from Cape Jervis to Penneshaw aboard the SeaLink Ferry, we explore the island’s natural treasures — from Seal Bay and Admirals Arch to eucalyptus distilleries, wildlife parks and spectacular coastal lookouts. With three nights at the Mercure Kangaroo Island Lodge, there is plenty of time to appreciate the island’s unique beauty and wildlife at a relaxed pace.

The journey continues with a serene two-night cruise aboard the Proud Mary, offering a gentle and immersive way to experience the iconic Murray River. With just 34 passengers, the vessel provides an intimate cruising experience, complete with guided nature walks, a small-boat exploration of secluded inlets, evening entertainment and freshly prepared meals. From here we travel to the Barossa Valley, where rolling vineyards, rich German heritage and celebrated cellar doors create the perfect setting for tastings and regional produce, including a visit to Maggie Beer’s Farm. The tour concludes in Adelaide, Australia’s elegant “city of churches,” where leafy parklands, cultural precincts, seaside suburbs and charming hills villages complete a memorable South Australian escape. With deluxe accommodation, airfares, most meals and curated touring included, this journey showcases the very best of the state — its nature, flavours and warm country hospitality.

Testimonials

Blessed with marvelous weather, all enjoyed the tour tremendously. I’d like to thank Sean, he was well liked by all, drove carefully and chatted happily. He had interesting facts to share. Love to have him as our driver again in the future.

Regards, Alison

Dear John I just want you to know how much I enjoyed my trip to Yamba with you and to thank you for your careful driving, your interesting commentary, your selective gathering of foods and morning tea and your care and concern for all passengers. It’s no wonder we have such a happy group.
