Itinerary
This morning we depart Sydney and pause for morning tea at beautiful Lake Alexandra before continuing to Yass for lunch at the Soldiers Club.
After lunch, we travel via Gundagai, a town rich in rural heritage and local legend. Here we see the iconic Dad and Dave, Mum and Mabel statues—much-loved characters that celebrate the spirit of country Australia.
We also visit the Yarri and Jacky Jacky memorial, honouring Wiradjuri heroes who rescued townspeople during the devastating 1852 floods—an important reminder of the region’s deep cultural history.
Continuing south, we arrive in Holbrook, affectionately known as “Submarine Town”. Enjoy a short break to explore the impressive decommissioned HMAS Otway submarine, set right in the heart of town. There’s time for photos, a quick browse of the museum, and a fascinating insight into Holbrook’s unique naval connection—despite being hundreds of kilometres from the sea.
Late afternoon we reach Albury and check in to our accommodation. This evening, enjoy a relaxed two-course dinner at the hotel.

Testimonials
Thank you for all the arranging that goes behind the International Airport tour that we did yesterday. Everything moved very smoothly from one event to the next, and Peter, our driver, was excellent. He added so much extra value and kept us on schedule. I think you’ll find some of those attending will be in touch in the future about other tours you offer!
Sally
Hi Debbie, I must say that the tour was well constructed with lots of places to check out. But surprisingly there was enough time allocated to do all the features mentioned in the brochure. I didn’t feel rushed at any point. The accommodation was A1 and you put on delightful meals. I’m looking forward to my next tour with ‘On Course’ in November. I must make comment about our driver ‘Peter’. Very personable and easy going, nothing seemed to faze him. He is a true professional driver / tour director. I look forward to having him on future tours. Yes, I will be a repeat customer! Also the pickup / drop off at North Sydney station works.
