TOUR DATES: 23rd JANUARY – 29TH JANUARY 2027

This exciting Australian Open tour combines world-class tennis with some of Victoria’s most memorable sightseeing and dining experiences.

We begin by flying from Sydney to Melbourne, enjoying a Docklands lunch and guided city tour before settling into our Carlton hotel. Over several days at Melbourne Park, we experience the thrill of the Australian Open from shaded reserved seating in Rod Laver Arena, with access to surrounding courts to watch the world’s best players compete through the quarter finals. There is also time to explore the precinct, merchandise areas and Melbourne’s vibrant evening scene.

Beyond the tennis, the itinerary showcases the best of regional Victoria. A scenic Bellarine Peninsula day includes waterfront stops, morning tea in Geelong and a highlight experience aboard the iconic Q Train, where a multi-course degustation lunch is enjoyed while travelling along the historic railway. Another day takes us to the picturesque Yarra Valley, featuring Bruno’s Sculpture Garden, winery lunch and tasting, plus a visit to the Yarra Valley Chocolaterie.

In Melbourne, we also enjoy a hot lap at Albert Park’s Grand Prix circuit and free time to explore the city your way — from the Eureka Skydeck and MCG to museums, markets, gardens and river cruises.

Throughout the tour, guests enjoy quality dining, including group dinners and a special final meal at Southbank. Touring is thoughtfully paced, with the group occasionally split to enhance experiences while ensuring everyone enjoys all inclusions before returning to Sydney with unforgettable memories.

Itinerary

This morning we fly from Sydney to Melbourne to begin our exciting Australian Open adventure. On arrival, we make our way to the Docklands where we enjoy lunch together. Afterwards, we set off on a guided city highlights tour, including a short stop at the lively Victoria Markets before continuing through Melbourne’s famous sights. We finish at Federation Square before checking into our hotel. This evening we share a two course dinner, the perfect start to our tour.

Following a hearty breakfast we will depart this morning for Flinders Park and all the excitement of the Australian Open. Before the tennis (which commences at 11.00am with gates open at 10.00am) we will spend an hour in Melbourne’s beautiful Botanic Gardens. We have reserved seats on the shaded side of Rod Laver Arena and our tickets also give us access to all the matches played on the surrounding courts (apart from Margaret Court Arena).

At the conclusion of the scheduled centre court matches we will return to our motel with dinner at 7.00pm – however, this is subject to play not running overtime. Occasionally if there is a run of 5 set matches daytime play can run past the scheduled 7.00pm start time of the night sessions. Testimonials

Dear On Course Tours and Travel, Thank you so much for a wonderful trip to King Island. I have been on a great many coach trips but can honestly say that yours are the best by far (I was also on the Christmas in July trip to Nelson Bay with you guys), I hope to join some more of your tours next year.

Kind regards, Marlene

Dear Debbie Just like to thank you again for the most enjoyable couple of days in the Southern Highlands earlier this month. Venues and meals were great. It was a very comfortable drive with John. He is very friendly and sociable, providing us with interesting information of the local areas along the way. We look forward to travelling with you again in the future.

Regards, Barbara
